The Outside 03:34
The Outside She saw it coming from a mile away Ten trebuchets in a tight array And then, when they came over the hill An army of thousands Knights in shining armour Fighters, farmers Lieges, vassals Coming to siege the castle O, it’s a wonder how She made it to the outside Straight into the sunlight The places where she hid She bid farewell When the bomb fell The whole thing didn’t take too long less than a day, they were way too strong But then, when they went in for the kill And up to the tower They stood nailed to the ground Pale around the nose And read the little note they’d found Thanks for getting me out O, it’s a wonder how She made it to the outside Straight into the sunlight The places where she hid She bid farewell When the bomb fell Knights in shining armour Fighters, farmers Lieges, vassals Coming to siege the castle O, makes you wonder how She made it to the outside Straight into the sunlight The places where she hid She bid farewell When the bomb fell

Have I heard have I heard Seven birds were found A possibly contagious type of flu Where have I been where have I been How could I possibly have missed it It was all over the news A hurricane named Lou Just hit Malibu I know there’s bigger things in life But All I think about is you I miss the point and hit the button I get up and then I realize it’s almost half past two And that I’ve totally forgotten About that lunch date with the cartoonist who’s customized our shoes Then he calls up out of the blue Turns out he’d forgotten, too See everything works out just fine When all I think about is you Even Matthew on my wall Still waitin’ for a call Doesn’t seem to mind at all That all I think about is you He doesn’t mind at all There’s a party in our street Some of my neighbours move their feet To a brazilian steeldrum band In a lazy, hazy heat I sit down against my window seat And watch the people dance And I might just join them, too As it’s finally getting through I’ve never quite felt so alive And all I think about is you

Dance 04:28
Dance It was a day like any other Except someone was about to die Whom we had known for all our lives And we’d been called to come and see her In her home to say goodbye It was a strange ‘though not a long drive We didn’t talk much that day We just went on our way I guess there was not a lot to say She wore a long red checkered nightdress She had her own idea of style Wich I had always found quite funny But one had to come to love after a while She said I’ll cross the great divide See the love of my life You have his name Wear his name with pride Dance The two of you, dance Once again Like you used to dance

Dream 05:14
Dream She lives In a dream Or so they say And who are they Anyway Unless I am asleep real deep She’s pretty real to me She is What she seems And if you think that’s strange It might be time for you To change Because unless I am asleep Real deep She’s very real to me So go ahead And let it out Move your feet Get up And to the beat Let it Go ahead And let it out Move your feet Get up And to the beat Let it go Just let it go

Sing For You 03:55
I sing for you It wasn’t that we didn’t have a thing to talk about It wasn’t that we didn’t both like the Crows It wasn’t that we missed a single thing we couldn’t do without And perhaps we were just slow But you didn’t see it comin’ And I wasn’t quite prepaired My hands on your waist And so my love I sing for you I sing for you Just for you There were times when we were lonely while together There were times when we were drifting, far apart There were times I should have spoken from the heart, cause really Clever never got us very far It wasn’t always lovin’ And it wasn’t always fair Put a smile on your face ‘cause we’re finally there So my love I sing for you I sing for you Just for you O my love I sing for you I sing for you No one but you So it wasn’t always lovin’ And it wasn’t always fair Put a smile on your face ‘cause we’re finally there So my love I sing for you I sing for you Just for you O my love I sing for you I sing for you No one but you

That’s when it happened His name was Rob, her name was Marjorie Besides a love for solitaire And solitary personalities There wasn’t anything they shared She had a job at the tobacconist’s When he walked in one cloudy day She put her magazine away And said ‘ hey Rob, what can I help you with?’ O, that’s when it happened O, that’s when it happened They skipped the courtship and the coquetry Not one single Billet-doux Foretold in badly written poetry The sudden love between the two And o, ofcourse there were those who were sceptical But they came around eventually For fifteen years they were inseparable Beloved Rob and sweet Marie O, that’s when it happened O, that’s when it happened They seemed so good together We had never seen them fight Until one stormy night November I remember it quite well She disappeared into the rain He stood there calling out her name With her leather jacket on But she was gone O...

Management 03:24
Management When you're all alone in a bowl of dust And everybody's looking to you 'cause it's you they'll follow and in God they trust And you're the one he's talking to You’re the only one he's talking to Will you tell them it came Straight down from management Nothing you can say Go talk to management Why don't they Every move you make, every single turn The growl of your following grows But dispite complaints they are not concerned because they really like to think you know Yeah, they really like to think you know When you tell them it came Straight down from management Nothing you can say Go talk to management Why don't they When you're tired of travelling the lonely road crowded as its shoulder may be When you're tired of carrying the holy load Why don't you run to me You can always come and run to me I'll tell you it came Straight down from management Nothing I can do Go talk to management Why don't you

Maps 03:07
Maps We climb to thirty thousand feet I might say something witty But instead I say 'that's pretty high' And she smiles uneasily So we're off to a bumpy start I'm fiddling with my safety card Wondering how While staring down over the steppe All rivers leave tell tale signs In the contour lines of maps She studies archeologie And I can feel the ice melt As we unbuckle our seatbelts And we talk finally We start off at erosion work our way up to emotions Lose all notion of time As we climb and we climb And it doesn't feel Like thirteen years have elapsed All rivers leave tell tale signs All rivers leave tell tale signs All rivers leave tell tale signs In the contour lines of maps And though I see it doesn’t show The Lord above knows How I’m trying to prevent A heap of little things I loved From coming back to me again We could be friends But then she moves her head exactly like she did back then All rivers leave tell tale signs All rivers leave tell tale signs All rivers leave tell tale signs In the contour lines of maps

Black, White & Sweet Look at her go She’s fabulous Look at her go I think I’m gonna cross the road and say hello Sweet like a holiday morning Look at her go So slowly but Look at her go She’s way ahead of us as slowly as she goes Slow like a holiday morning It’s not quite black and it’s not quite white It’s not to the left and it’s not quite right But it’s sweet, so sweet Yeah it’s sweet, so sweet O, how sweet it is I say hello How do you do I say hello How do you do the thing you do I’m longing so To be like a holiday morning It’s easy, you see I can’t believe She’s talking to me And she is grinning as she drops her voice down low I’ll tell you what I know Know about a holiday morning It’s not quite black and it’s not quite white It’s not to the left and it’s not quite right But it’s sweet, so sweet Yeah it’s sweet, so sweet O how sweet it is It’s not quite black and it’s not quite white It’s not to the left and it’s not quite right But it’s sweet, so sweet Yeah it’s sweet, so sweet O how sweet it is

Morning It’s early in the morning, more precisely 5:03 You can tell ‘cause you can hear a bunch of keys somebody opening the door To the grocery store downstairs Early in the morning It’s early in the morning and who really needs a clock When every day the carts they roll into the stockroom At exactly 6:04 And an old refrigerator Switches on ten minutes later You may say the days are great and I do not disagree And if you like the night-time, hey, then that’s just fine with me But tell me honestly, have you never heard or seen The beauty of the minutes in between It’s pretty much like flying as it’s written in The Guide It says ‘don’t panic’ on the cover And it states that ‘when you’re hovering, Don’t think about the ground and you will be all right’ Just don’t think about the ground and you will be all right Drifting high above the clouds there’s not a worry or a doubt There’s not a single thing around to weigh me down And so with every little breeze I’m flying up, then down With every breeze I’m flying easily Once up, then down Just for now I am in control Ahead of time ‘cause I make everything go very slowly You may say the days are great and I do not disagree And if you like the night-time, hey, then that’s just fine with me But tell me honestly, have you never heard or seen The beauty of the minutes in between The beauty of the minutes in between

Fish 03:30
Fish May be There’s plenty more fish in the sea But everyone’s looking at her She’s beyond my lyrical expertise She’s a glitch in my system or a hitch if you please She’s got me stuck at ‘she’s’ She’s got me stuck at ‘she’s’ So I look to the few Who’ve done it before I play the new and the not so new anymore I’m checking classics for a clue And it’s her I’m looking for May be There’s plenty more fish in the sea May be I says ‘O la la, well excusez-moi Mais voulez vous become reine, ou l’amour sera roi I’m quoting Andrew T, Jacques B as well as Elvis C Singing ‘ She...’ A twirling visual overload She’s a bomb in my temple that’s about to explode I feel Meshuggah to a point where I could fly like Eddie V May be There’s plenty more fish in the sea On and on and on and on There’s a point to every single song But in the end it all boils down to this conclusion May be There’s plenty more fish in the sea But everyone’s looking at her And surely as well as astonishingly She’s looking at me
